Human Resource for HR Practitioners

Overview: 

The Human Resource course is designed to provide the leaner with key principles, policies, and practices of human resource management with the main focus placed on the introducing concepts, ensuring learner understands the expectations of the role played by human resources professionals, acquiring new and innovative ideas in terms of the use and application of technology following the HR post pandemic era. This course will provide learners with the foundation to of the HR functions, employee engagement and data analysis. This will then give learner, the factual and conceptual basis for developing specific, critical HRM skills in subsequent courses on hiring employees, managing performance, and rewarding employees. Incorporated with real examples from the industry.

Objectives: 

  • Understand and explore the importance of HR planning.
  • Explore the role of HR in administrative posts and understand the contribution to the organization mission and vision.
  • Explore the recruiting, selection and onboarding of new employees (from job analysis, to interviewing candidates and posting).
  • Explore reward and compensation methodology Understand and implement employee engagement.
  • Explore and understand HR data and analytics and it’s usage
  • Understand and effectively comply with the Oman Labor Law
  • Equip learner with effective HR administration practice

Week 1:  Introduction to HR, HR role and HR System & HR Planning

The first module will be exploring the role of HR in administrative post and understand the contribution to the organization mission and vision. You will understand and explore importance of HR planning.

Week 2:  Basics of Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding of Talent

The second module will explore the recruiting, selection and onboarding of new employees (from job analysis to interviewing candidates, positing, effective onboarding.).

Week 3: Essentials of Performance Management, Training and Development

This module will teach you the fundamentals of conducting skills gap analysis, conducting effective staff appraisals, training and development with the use of technology. You will understand the performance management process.

Week 4: Rewards, Compensation and Employee Engagement

This module will let  you  explore different reward and compensation methodologies applied by successful organizations. The module will let you understand the benefits of effective implementation of  employee engagement in your workplace.

Week 5: Introduction to HR Data and Analytics

This unit will let you explore and understand HR data and analytics and it’s usage. How HR data analysis can influence decision making by your management.

Week 6: Key issues in the Oman Labor Law

This final module will take you through the key issues for HR practitioners with regards to the Labor Law in the Country. You will understand how to effectively comply with the Oman Labor Law.
